Built: 1987, Sweden. Made from Ikea woods this instrument has 37 keys and 16 strings. The 3 melody strings are tuned G, C, A and the 4th drone string is tuned to C. The 12 sympathetic strings are tuned chromatically starting from G. |

Hardanger Fiddle |
Built: 2007 by Liverpool luthier Glen Michael Hulme. The Hardanger fiddle is a Norwegian violin, except it has sympathetic strings running throught the neck of the instrument. |
